Like many New Englanders, generations of the Wallace family have spent their summers here on scenic Lake Winnipesaukee. In 1973, Wally and Joy Wallace moved to Alton Bay, New Hampshire to start a family and a donut business at the very popular Busy Comer on Route 11. This iconic donut shop was affectionately named, “Wally’s Old-Fashioned Donuts” serving, you guessed it, the best tasting old-fashioned donuts on the lake. It quickly became a local favorite of townies and tourists alike.

Fifty years later, the Wallaces have returned to this beloved lake to continue their legacy of serving delicious hot donuts but now with a rich cup of coffee. “Donuts with Joy” debuts donuts that are warmed to perfection and made with the best ingredients derived from local farmers and markets found right here in New Hampshire. The classic flavors of our donuts pay homage to the past and are elevated to a level of purity and sweetness that aim to satisfy donut lovers of all ages.

Our coffee roots have a similar background derived from a mom and pop start-up to a multi-generational family business started fifty years ago in New York City that is now served in select coffee shops nationwide. We offer a delightful blend of their medium roast sourced with the highest-quality coffee beans from all over the world. Our coffee is brewed using the same small batch roasting methods since 1973, using simply heat and hands. The roast is smooth, clean, has good acidity and has a rich flavor profile, Coffee lovers rejoice!
